PHILADELPHIA - Arthur Alan Wolk, a nationally-known aviation attorney, jet pilot, and aviation safety expert, has published a book documenting the first year of the life of his Golden Retriever, Boo. Proceeds from sales of Recollections of My Puppy will be donated to The Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and other animal rescues across the country.
While some may be surprised at the chosen topic for this hard hitting attorney's first book, Wolk has no qualms about sharing his admiration for his "71 pounds of sweet, lovable sunshine." A self-confessed "neat freak" who now finds himself sharing a bed with his four-legged pal, Wolk's life has changed for the better since his dog Boo arrived and he hopes this book will encourage others to open their lives, homes and hearts to the many animals in need.
"Boo has been such a blessing, I can't imagine being without her now," Wolk said. "When I think about all the joy and happiness she's brought to my life, it's hard for me to understand why there are still so many dogs out there in desperate need of a loving home."
"Boo and I wrote this book to help great organizations that work to connect dogs who need a good home with loving moms and dads."
