Arthur Alan Wolk is an attorney and the founding partner of The Wolk Law Firm in Philadelphia, PA, which specializes in aviation law and air crash litigation for plaintiffs.
Living alone, "Dad" as he is called, decided that making a committment to a dog would be a way to have some companionship and at the same time allow him give and receive unconditional love.
After searching for a Golden Retriever on the Internet, Dad finally found Boo at a breeder. Although she had decided to keep Boo for herself, she reluctantly agreed to part with Boo and there our story begins.
Dad rearranged both his personal and business life to accommodate the needs of his new charge, and the commitment has been mutual. Boo and Dad are best buds and their relationship is proving healthy and helpful to both - Dad agrees that he is more mellow now and believes that Boo contributed immensely to that. Boo is a secure, happy and well-behaved dog, and Dad’s dedication has been a huge factor.
In addition to his book Recollections of My Puppy, Mr. Wolk is also an author, editor and lecturer on aviation law and air safety with articles published by The Aviation Consumer, Aviation Safety and other publications and has appeared on ABC Evening News, CBS Evening News, CNBC, and CNN Larry King Live.
Wolk is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania. He received his B.S. degree, cum laude, from Temple University in 1965, and his J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law in 1968.
